Learning to be a photographer

Mentoring with Jenny C. for my summer graduation project. Here you will find all my progress :D

here are a couple shots of groups/sisters that i set up and shot

here are the three of the five group pictures and sketches that i had to do. getting everyone to do what you want them to do is very overwhelming for me so i really should take a breathe then take the picture. i also have a hard time making sure people are making eye contact with the camera in group pictures so i have to work on that

This week we are working on posing groups and i had to sketch out poses for different sizes of groups.

A group of 9
A group of 3
A group of 10
A group of 4
A group of 13
A group of 21
A group of 6

below are the rules of posing groups

Rule # 1: Whomever the group centers around goes in the middle.(IE:Dad,Mom,Grandma, etc.)

Rule #2: The Rule of the Triangle.
When posing a group always pose in either a triangle or an inverted triangle. you may break this rule by having your  center people still featured but other people circle around them or something bringing your eye to the center.
Rule #3: Take your time and always start with the largest group first

I’ll be working on the group of 3 tomorrow along with bringing my sketches to life.

I’ve had this idea in my head since we got these bowls from a baby shower and i finally fullfilled it today :) i was originally going to use whip cream for the white but we didn’t have any so i used eggs.
